New Hudson Inn is an institution in New Hudson and clearly a sweet place for bikers and dive bar lovers alike. The beers are cheap, the food is cheap, and the place is appropriately dingy. There's a stripper pole in the middle of the floor and the PBRs are like 3 bucks on a Monday. So, basically this is my kind of place. Especially for a laid-back beer and to watch a game. The food is the only sticking point here. We came on a Monday (Labor Day to be precise) and they had a ton of food specials most of which we tried. The menu here is actually pretty large but mostly we stuck to the specials since they were snack sized and cheap. The sliders? They rule. I would definitely stick to these upon return visits. They're nothing special but they had good flavor and they were a steal (I can't remember if they were 1or 2 bucks each but either way!). The coney dog was not really so great. The hot dog was ok but the chili was underwhelming. Definitely tasted out of a can. Will pass in the future. We also split an order of the nachos which tasted kind of GFS. Again, will pass in the future. But the sliders? They get a thumbs up. But let's be real. This place isn't a spot for eats. It's a place for beers, booze, and brawlin'. Okay, maybe not the brawlin'. But definitely the former two. And for that, I'll definitely be back.

Great food, great prices. A historical landmark in New Hudson that's a great place to stop out for a burger or a drink!

This is a total dive bar, but I loved it. My husband and I go up there write a bit. Friendly staff, greasy food....typical dive

Nice old dive bar, like the atmosphere. Descent food and good staff. Has a good beer selection also.

I first tried this place a few years ago, and wrote it off, because the food tasted like it was fresh out of the freezers at Gordon's... What a difference a few years makes, since having returned in the last few month, the food is fresh, and just plain good... The Friday all you can eat Fish and Chips can compete with anyone in the metro area, and the smoked corn beef Reuben is just something you need to experience. Oh yeah, and Sherri the bartender is spectacular, at least that is what she said. If you have avoided this place because of it's past, it is time to give it a try again. It now has great food, to go along with its classic dive bar atmosphere.

Exactly what I was hoping for, crappie up north style place with good food and questionable staff.

Good burger and beer bar for a summer day

Dusty biker bar. Stripper pole on the dance floor. Small patio out front, larger deck on the side. We sat on the front patio. We stopped in during a warm late Fall day for a few cold ones and a burger. Burgers were good and beer was cold.

I didn't eat here, just drank myself silly and had a great time! The DJ is great and the drinks are strong. Plus, I live within walking distance so, no DUI's for me!

I highly recommend this restaurant and bar. The burgers are fantastic and the new menu is outstanding. What has always set this restaurant and bar a part from the rest is its history and its people, now add their great new menu and you've got a real winner. This is the type of place where people talk to each other and enjoy the company of others - instead of staring at TVs like most other bars. The management and staff are great and really value their customers. It is a historic building with a ton of pictures on the walls and a ton of character. So if you like great people, cold beer, and great food - you can't go wrong with the New Hudson Inn!

Really poor service. Went in around 2, didn't get my food until at least 3 o'clock. The place wasn't even busy and the waitress seemed really rude. Seemed like a cool place but it looks gross inside. When the food did actually come, it was terribly burnt and it was evident that the oil in the fryer desperately needed a change. Nothing really tasted good. The pop was very watered down and I did find a piece of burnt meat in my grilled cheese. I'm a vegetarian. Disgraceful.

apparently the new hudson inn didn't need our business. after seating ourselves, sitting there for over 15 minutes and having no service, we left. yep, the waitress checked the table next to us to make sure they didn't need anything... and never looked at us. hard to believe. so goodbye new hudson inn... hello negative review!

Oh The Inn! How I love you...let me count the ways! 1) Cheap drinks 2) Great music 3) Random stripper pole 4) Dance floor 5) Great place for people watching We came here to meet up with some of our friend's friends. We sat at a large table with a perfect view of the dance floor and stripper pole. We did see a lot of dancing which was very entertaining and even a couple people attempting the stripper pole! Such a fun dive bar where you can come and just relax with a strong drink! Plus people watch with your friends!

An OLDIE but goodie....one of the oldest bars/restaurants in the areas that's retained it's "funkiness". Looks a bit like a "roadside bar"/huge gravel parking lot, park anywhere! LOL....Quality & prices met my expectations.

Got here on a Sunday at 6pm.. about 15 people in the entire place... ordered drinks.. then ordered food.. nothing extravagant. .. (nachos, wings and a burger) one hour and 15 minutes later our food finally came out. After many requests and confirmations that our food would be out, it was clear nobody was going to cook our food. So, the waitress finally decided to stop standing around doing nothing and went in the kitchen and cooked it herself. The wings were obviously pre cooked, possibly a few days prior, pulled from the fridge and partially heated. (Some were still ice cold). This left me worried about how old they were and if they were safe to eat. The pulled pork nachos had stale chips, barely any cheese and several day old pulled pork. The burger was actually really good and probably the only thing I would eat here if I ever came back and wasn't concerned about the safety of the food. I get that this place is a dive bar. I love dives.. they usually have great food... I get that the kitchen is small and there may be a slight wait for food.. What I don't get is why the kitchen staff was so incompetent and why the food was so unfresh and sketchy... In summary.. I would say if you like dive bars with poor service, long waits, are only drinking, or like questionable food you should check this place out.

I went for my first time and just loved it. It is the best dive bar I have ever gone to. Food was totally amazing. We started with deep fried pickles and some insane nacho. The table had their hamburger which was huge, juicy and delicious. The chicken tenders were breaded with panko, sweet potato fries, my son got something I am not even sure what is was because he inhaled it to quickly. Everything we tried that night was fresh, homemade (nothing frozen) and truly unexpected great!!! The entertainment that night was The Aaron Vaughn Band who made the evening even more enjoyable. They played a bit of all music for all ages. The atmosphere is really amazing if you think about it. Been there since the early 1800's. I can just imagine how much history is in that foundation. Will be going back!!
